Gunbalanya site visit

The Dice Renascent team was proud to be invited by the local community in Gunbalanya to visit their community housing project, currently under construction.

Located 3.5 hours west of Darwin, Gunbalanya is a remote community located in Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory.

Ray Pratt, Dice Renascent Managing Director, is involved in the project through his company DICE Australia.

His team has partnered with Demed Aboriginal Corporation and the Northern Territory Government to construct more than 44 new homes within the precinct.

This accommodation will provide housing for local residents, who otherwise would not have shelter.

40% of the project team are local to the area, providing valuable employment and training opportunities.

The Dice Renascent team was joined by senior leaders from Renascent who were impressed by the quality of the work being delivered and the professionalism of the project team.

It was fascinating to learn about the challenges faced by the extreme weather conditions in the region. In particular, the many months of the year that works must stop due to supply chain stoppages during the wet season.
